Birthday Knit/Crochet Out!

Come CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 at the Harlem Knitting Circle with a "Bring a Dish To Share Birthday Party!" We will add your dish to the Birthday Table as we knit, crochet, laugh, talk, (be ready to take pictures!), and oh yeah..., did I say laugh?! Please bring me some brightly wrapped presents of prayers, hugs and kisses.., cause this has been a year and as I move to the next I need all the prayers, hugs, and kisses you can bring! We will meet from 10am until 2pm!  Come share a dish, a fizzy drink, or two! It's my.... birthday, (hey! Where did those number keys disappear to! lol) Come ready to show off your latest knitting/crochet project, ask questions, or share your techiniques. It's a "Grown-up Party" at the Harlem Branch Library-9 West 124th Street & 5th Avenue, so NO KIDDIES THIS WEEKEND at the "Circle",but we will welcome them with open arms next week! God blessed me so I can reach another year!Come share some food, laughs, and help me celebrate this year that God has blessed me with! And I want to celebrate it with you!  Njoya Angrum

HKC Knit's/Crochet's Again at Harlem Branch Library!

Hello Knitters & Crocheters! 

The Harlem Knitting Circle will be meeting through the Summer!  As many of you know, this is my first summer as a full time parent, and I have missed many meetings, but my knitters/crocheters held the fort and HKC went on!  At one point there were many changes going on in my personal and professional life and I realized, like a piece of wet morino wool, I was pulled too thin!  I decided, after 7 years straight, HKC, and I, was due a vacation.  So I decided to put HKC "on pause", so to speak.  Well, when that information hit the surrounding knitters/crocheters they weren't happy to say the least!  What everyone didn't know was that there had also been some changes going on around us, but I'm happy to say that the Harlem Knitting Circle occurs within the welcoming embrace of the Harlem Branch Library/9 West 124th Street, New York, NY 10026 & 5th Avenue on Saturday from 10am until 2pm. Everyone give a "shout out!" to Librarian-Ms. Murphy!  I am making it a point of being there this Saturday, July 17th, (but I have to leave early for my daughters Praise Dance class!), so please come have breakfast with me!  I need the hugs and smiles you always bring in and I've missed you all!  I am giving a special thank you and "Shout Out" to those knitters & crocheter's that held HKC down while I moved, dealt with a very hectic first year as a Special Ed/Collaborative Team Teaching Teacher, had emergency surgery, and became a Mother to my 9year old student!  Thank you and God Bless you for taking special care of HKC!  I love you dearly!     See you Saturday, bright and early!
