INSTRUCTOR:
Lisa Daehlin is a knitting
designer and opera singer. She
teaches at Cooper Union. Her designs can be seen walking the streets of Manhattan as well as on the pages of
Interweave Knits, Knit 1 and Vogue Knittingmagazines and in Lace Style and Bag Style by Interweave Press.
WORKSHOP:
Hairpin Lace and Broomstick Lace
Crochet are examples of taking tools made for
common everyday tasks and reinterpreting their use to create lovely fabric. Each of these
techniques involves making large loops and joining them in various ways using single or
other crochet stitches.
Supplies:crochet hook
(f, g, or h), yarn, size 35 or 50 knitting needle
(or cardboard tube), Hairpin Lace Loom (for
sale at Knitty City 212-787-5896)

Prerequisite
: Know how to make a chain and
single crochet before the workshop
It's nice to have a place to come, learn, teach, create, share and be a part of something that's so powerful in it's simplicity. We have ladies from 7 years to probably 80 and sometimes you can't tell the difference.
